Two projects by University of Szczecin employees have been selected for funding under the National Programme for the Development of the Humanities. The total amount of funding is over PLN 2 million.
Employees of the Institute of History will realise the project ” About those who departed. In the footsteps of Galician Poles. From Lvov to Vienna’. The aim of the project is to present the history of Galicia through the perspective of cemeteries, showing the specificity of places, but also the significance of the process of fluctuation of people living in the area.
The aim of the project of the staff of the Institute of Theological Sciences “The vividness of Catholicism in the face of historical processes in the Lubusz Land from the twelfth to the twentieth century” is to develop and publish a synthesis of the history of Catholicism in the Lubusz Land in the years 1123-1992, complementing and continuing the research on the mission of Christianisation of Pomerania carried out by St Otto of Bamberg.
