25.10.2021

The University of Technology and Humanities (UTH) in Radom has signed an agreement with the Radom Cancer Center (RCO) regarding the internship of medical students. At RCO, students will have classes in oncology surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.

The Oncology Center in Radom is the third hospital that has agreed to train students and establish clinical departments. Currently, such departments operate at the Mazowiecki Specialist Hospital and the Radom Specialist Hospital.

-The signed contract will allow us to gain an excellent base and excellent educators. To create a strong university quality, all hospitals in Radom must be included – said Prof. Col. Leszek Markuszewski, Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences and Health Sciences, UTH in Radom.

Three clinics will be established in the Radom Oncology Center: oncological surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy clinics. The first students have already appeared. I hope that the professionalism of our doctors will make these students stay in our city as oncology specialists – added Dorota Ząbek, director of the RCO.
