The Faculty of Animal Breeding and Biology at the University of Technology and Life Sciences in Bydgoszcz was among the beneficiaries of the Horizon 2020 program in the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks competition.
The goal of the project “MonoGutHealth – Training and research for sustainable solutions to support and sustain gut health and reduce losses in monogastric livestock” is to develop natural, sustainable solutions for implementation in the production of poultry and pigs that are to contribute to improving the health of the intestinal system, and animal welfare, significant reduction in the use of medical measures and reduction of production losses.
A total of 29 research and industrial centers from Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Poland are participating in the project. Funding for research is almost EUR 3 million.
