University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn has launched a two-year educational project “Meetings with Science”, which aims to disseminate and popularize the achievements of exact sciences, mainly biological, especially among secondary school students.

Within 24 months, over 50 UWM employees will organize: 4 science picnics with at least 2,000 participants, two science camps at the University, 60 lectures, workshops and science cafes outdoors, 12 lectures and workshops at the University, three half-year exhibitions at the University Library and four traveling exhibitions.

At least 150 short texts and popular science videos will be published on the university blog and on social media. At least 4,000 people will participate directly in the classes and exhibitions. Social media will reach a much larger number of people both at home and abroad. All these activities are meeting the goals of the emerging Center for Popularization of Science and Innovation “Kortosphere”.
