University of Warsaw hosts debates on the consequences of the war in Ukraine for scientific research

On 11-12 March, the University of Warsaw hosted an event called ‘European Dialogues’ – international debates on war and Europe. An important issue discussed at this year’s meetings was the war in Ukraine and its consequences for the world order as well as scientific research.

In 2022, the French Institute in Paris launched a series of public debates called ‘Facing War – European Dialogues’. This year, meetings were held at the University of Warsaw, among others.

This year’s debates dealt with the disruption that the war in Ukraine has caused to the acquisition and dissemination of knowledge and information. Participants discussed what part of history the countries of Europe share, what narratives on European integration are present in Riga, Madrid, Sarajevo or Dublin, and
