Rectors of six member universities of the 4EU + Alliance, including the University of Warsaw, adopted a resolution establishing the “4EU + European University Alliance eV” association. Its seat will be in Heidelberg, Germany.
In order to provide a legal framework for cooperation in the 4EU + Alliance, member universities decided to register the Alliance as a not-for-profit association based in Heidelberg. It will manage 4EU + joint funds and maintain legal relationships with third parties on behalf of the Alliance (e.g. employment of 4EU + employees or contracts with service providers). It will also serve as a common data storage platform. The Association will be the owner of jointly acquired or created tangible and intangible resources.
In connection with the establishment of the association in Heidelberg, the 4EU + General Secretariat will be launched. It will take over the duties of the Alliance’s central office in Paris. The Secretariat will offer support to all Alliance members and facilitate the exchange of experience and information.
