University of Warsaw signs agreement with a university from South Korea

The University of Warsaw (UW) has signed an agreement with the South Korean university KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School. The cooperation will concern the training of personnel for the nuclear power industry.

Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the UW, and Dr Ki-Pung Yoo, President of Kepco International Nuclear Graduate School, have signed an agreement ‘Collaborative Academic Program on Nuclear Power Plant Engineering and Technology’, which envisages expanding cooperation between the two universities concerning distance learning. Students at the University of Warsaw will be able to participate in online courses prepared by the Korean partner.

The Rector of the University of Warsaw recalled that ‘physics at our university is one of the highest-rated science courses in the world’. 

Professor Ju-youl Kim, Dean for External Cooperation and Director of the Faculty of Nuclear Power Plant Engineering, stated that signing a nuclear physics cooperation agreement with such an excellent centre educating excellent physicists is a great honour and at the same time a response to the needs of educating specialists.
