University of Warsaw to cooperate with universities from Uzbekistan

Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the University of Warsaw met with representatives of scientific institutions and representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education from Uzbekistan.

They talked about the possibility of establishing and continuing the existing cooperation with universities in Uzbekistan. The guests of the University of Warsaw were representatives of Tashkent Medical Academy, Urgench State University, Tashkent State Dental Institute, Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages. Komilzhon Karimov, the first deputy of the Minister of Higher Education of Uzbekistan, also took part in the talks.

University of Warsaw reports that in recent years, under the university-wide agreement, the University of Warsaw cooperated with the National University of Uzbekistan. From 2012 to 2013, the faculties of the University of Warsaw: “Artes Liberales”, Biology and Chemistry conducted joint activities with Samarkand State University, and the Faculty of Biology of the University of Warsaw in 2013-2018 also cooperated with the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
