University of Warsaw to host a discussion on the rule of law in turbulent times

A conference on the development of the rule of law in turbulent times will be held at the University of Warsaw (UW), in the American Law Centre on 15 June 2023.

During the conference, prominent experts from the United States, Poland and Ukraine will discuss issues relating to the rule of law and the rule of law in the face of multiple challenges in both Poland, the United States and Ukraine.

The event will focus on the following issues: Defining (redefining) the concept of the rule of law in situations of internal and external crises; The rule of law and sustainable development; The rule of law and global crises (war in Ukraine); The rule of law and business.

The Centre for American Law was established 25 years ago as an initiative of the University of Florida Levin College of Law and the UW Faculty of Law and Administration.

With the start of the 2016/17 academic year, two law schools from Atlanta, Georgia-Emory University School of Law and Georgia State University College of Law formed a consortium with the UW. Together, they are sponsoring the Centre in its mission to teach Polish American law students.
