The scientists led by Prof. Marcin Solarz of the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies of the University of Warsaw (WGiSR UW) are updating the project “Geographic and political atlas of Poland” from 2018.
Researchers of the Laboratory of Political and Historical Geography of the Faculty of Geography, University of Warsaw will also prepare lesson plans for schools and a competition for the best geographic and political trips.
Published in 2018, “Geographical and political atlas of Poland. Poland in the Modern World” was edited by Prof. Marcin Solarz. It presents the geopolitical and economic situation of Poland in comparison to other European and world countries, as well as data on history, politics, economy and Polish society.
Information about Poland is presented on about half a thousand color maps. In 2019, the publication took third place in the atlas category at the 29th International Cartographic Conference in Tokyo.
Now it will be updated as part of the project “Geographical and political atlas of Poland. Poland in the Modern World: Perspective 2022”.
