Genetics and forensic chemistry will be tackled by researchers from the University of Warsaw within two new laboratories set up at the Centre for Forensic Sciences at the University of Warsaw (UW).

According to the UW, the two new laboratories have been created within the Centre for Forensic Sciences (CNS) at the UW unit established in 2007 to conduct interdisciplinary research and forensic studies at the intersection of psychology, biology, chemistry, physics and law.

‘The opening of new forensic laboratories at the University of Warsaw makes our university one of the leaders in the field of genetics and forensic chemistry and a valuable partner for law enforcement agencies. The creation of the laboratories and their equipment was made possible thanks to the financial support provided to CNS UW by the UW Rector”, said Dr Anna Trynda of the UW Centre for Forensic Sciences.
