She has been working under the “Globalization- and Technology-Driven Labor Market Change and Fertility” (LABFER) project, for which she received the prestigious ERC Consolidator Grant in the amount of EUR 1.99 million.

Dr Anna Matysiak is an economist specializing in demography, with particular emphasis on family and labor market research. The main areas of her scientific interests include issues of the relationship between the process of forming, developing and breaking up families, and the professional activity of the population and its institutional and cultural conditions. As part of the grant, the ERC will deal with the impact of dynamic transformations on the labor market that are taking place in developed countries due to globalization and technological change on the decision to have children.
