The University of Wrocław has become the Polish partner of the international Falling Walls Lab project. Wrocław University will hold regional qualifiers, which will indicate who will represent Poland, Ukraine, Belarus or the Czech Republic in one of the most prestigious competitions in the world.
People don’t have to be a scientist or a student to take part in the competition. The most crucial is the idea and the ability to present it clearly in English in front of an international jury – first in Wrocław, in the qualifying rounds for Central and Eastern Europe Competition- and then in Berlin. In Wrocław, ideas will be assessed by Polish scientists, in Berlin by international entrepreneurs, researchers, and Nobel laureates.
Falling Walls Lab is a reference to the Berlin Wall, which had to be broken to unite Germany. In reference to that historic event, every November, Berlin is inviting young people who have an unusual, revolutionary idea that could change the fate of the world or humanity.
