University of Wrocław researcher to conduct language research in France

Dr Aleksander Wiater’s research project ‘KorpUJF – Student Corpus of French’ has received funding from the Miniatura 7 competition of the National Science Centre. The University of Wrocław researcher is planning research trips to the universities of Perpignan and Poitiers.

The aim of the stay in France will be to learn about the methodology used in two leading French centres specialising in language corpora for learners of French as a foreign language. The trip will also provide an opportunity to learn about the mechanisms of developing and analysing student corpora.

Dr Wiater is the author (or co-author) of nearly 20 scientific publications and more than 30 conference presentations in Mexico, France, Czech Republic, Portugal, Ukraine, Germany, Albania, among others. He works with the Ministry of Education and Science as an expert on French and Spanish textbooks.
