Dr Małgorzata Grześków, assistant professor in the Department of Labour Law at the University of Wrocław, will carry out the project ‘Protection of whistleblowers in the workplace. The Portuguese implementation model of Directive (EU) 2019/1937’. She won funding for her research in the Miniatura competition of the National Science Centre.

Her research interests include the law of individual labour relations and industrial relations. Recently, her research activities have focused on the regulation of whistleblower protection in the workplace.

The project involves a trip to Portugal, a country that was one of the first to implement the provisions of the EU Directive into national law. Learning from the experience of other European countries is crucial for the creation, analysis and critique of the law.

The trip to Portugal is intended to be only the beginning of further work on research and analysis of various models of implementation of the Whistleblower Directive developed by individual Member States.
