Researchers from the Department of Psychiatry at the Medical University of Wroclaw will investigate the relationship between cortisol (the stress hormone) in saliva and psychological parameters (including self-orientation, perception of stress, anxiety-depressive symptoms, professional burnout) among homosexual and heterosexual people.

The survey consists in filling out online psychological questionnaires. Adult (18-40 years old) male homosexual and heterosexual volunteers can participate. There is no risk involved in the study. It is completely anonymous and does not involve any psychological or medical intervention.

Participants will also be asked to place 4 samples of saliva within the first hour after waking up in containers provided by researchers, store them in a refrigerator and deliver them to one of the laboratories located in various districts of Wrocław or the Department of Psychiatry – we read on the university website.
