The University of Wrocław is a partner of the interactive debate “Masterclass with NASA”, which will start on October 21. Leaders from 100 countries have confirmed their participation in the debate. The event is organized by the Pontifical Council for Culture, which deals with the Church’s relations with the world of culture and science, and the CTN Foundation.
The speakers include Art Chmielewski – engineer and manager at NASA, who prepared 15 space missions presenting subjects: What is NASA’s mission? Are there aliens? and Jeffrey Sachs, an economist at Harvard and Columbia, New York, advisor to Pope Francis in the “Economics of Francis” program. He will present the topic: The greatest challenges and problems of the economy of the 21st century.
Guy Consolmagno, director of the Vatican Observatory, MIT graduate, lecturer at Harvard University, and Michał Heller, cosmologist, physicist, philosopher, and the first Polish winner of the Templeton Prize will also take part in the interactive debate.
