The Institute of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Zielona Góra will realise an investment: “Robotised machining centres for research in ecological cutting and production automation”. As part of the project, the university will purchase two machining centres equipped with high-pressure coolant supply systems and a set of manipulators with accessories.
The state-of-the-art machining centres with high structural stability and rigidity, equipped with HPC systems together with highly specialised manipulators and sensors, will provide a research infrastructure that is important for the development of the scientific discipline of mechanical engineering.
The purchase will enable the intensification of ongoing research work in the area of machining and automation of production processes in terms of the implementation of the Industry 4.0 concept, and will enable the expansion of cooperation with the socio-economic environment.
The investment is possible thanks to a grant from the Ministry of Science and Education in the amount of PLN 1,975,500.
