Relpol S.A. z Żary supported by an interdisciplinary team from the University of Zielona Góra acquired PLN 32.6 million from the National Center for Research and Development for the implementation of the project under the “Quick Path” competition.

The aim of the project is to develop a new bistable relay that allows for significant reduction of energy consumption. In addition, the engineers are to work out an automated, robotic technological line with the production capacity of 15 relays per minute, achieving an annual capacity of 5 million pieces.

The tasks envisaged for the implementation required combining the competences of two disciplines: Mechanical Engineering and Automation, Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
