University Scientific Town to be launched on the campus of the University of Silesia in Katowice

From 9 to 27 September the University of Silesia in Katowice will launch the University Scientific Town on its campus. The project is aimed at popularizing science and is addressed to primary and secondary school pupils.

The program includes presentations, scientific experiments, as well as lectures on pop culture and artificial intelligence. Classes and lectures will be conducted by scientists representing the University of Silesia for Children, the Unibot group and graduates from the University of Silesia.

The following thematic panels are planned: “Singularities of the World of Physics” – the lecture will present electric charges and fields and fire as a destructive element, which becomes an irreplaceable source of energy; “Biorobotics” – lecturers will introduce the brain physiology as an inspiration to create an IURO robot as well as the structure and possibilities of using DNA in medicine, and “Amazing history of humanity” – answering the question how to deal with history, pop culture and … thinking.
