Until 10 February 2023, public and non-public universities could apply for participation in the 6th “Academic Legion”. The Ministry of Education and Science, together with the Ministry of Defence, is continuing the military training programme aimed at students and graduates.

The programme is being implemented under an agreement between the Minister of Defence and the Minister of Education and Science concluded on 12 January 2023. It is estimated that between 50 and 70 universities will participate.

Military education under the ‘Academic Legion’ includes two parts of training: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is carried out in accordance with the training programme developed by the Minister of National Defence. The practical part (military exercises) is also organised by the Minister of National Defence.  

The main objective of the theoretical part is to master the knowledge and skills in the field of military subjects necessary for training in military exercises carried out in military units. 

The Ministry of Education and Science will allocate approximately PLN 1 million for the project.
