Dr Agnieszka Kurczewska, vice-rector of the University of Lodz (UŁ) for cooperation with the environment, was elected the president-elect of the European organization the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship. She will lead the organization in 2023–2025 period. 

The European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ECSB) is a non-profit organization based on research in the area of ​​entrepreneurship and small business.

Dr Agnieszka Kurczewska has been a member of the ECSB for 10 years, and she has been a member of the Management Board of this organization for six years. During her membership, she created the BLI (Best Learning Innovation) competition, organized scientific workshops for young scientists and coordinated the activities of representatives of national authorities. She is the first president from Poland and Central and Eastern Europe in the history of the organization.
