Warsaw researchers to launch interdisciplinary textbook on climate change

11.01.2021

Researchers of the University of Warsaw (UW) have prepared an interdisciplinary textbook on climate change, which can be a didactic aid for teachers in secondary schools and universities. The electronic version of the book is available free of charge.

Their book “Climatic ABC. Interdisciplinary foundations of contemporary knowledge about climate change” is the first interdisciplinary textbook on climate changes in Poland. It was created as a response of scientists to the urgent need for universal education about the climate and ecological crisis.

Educating the society about the climate change is not only a social responsibility of universities, but also a necessary step in the fight to stop the rapidly progressing degradation of the natural environment and to prevent from passing the critical point, which will result in irreversible climate change on Earth, – said Dr Magdalena Budziszewska, Faculty Psychology of the University of Warsaw.
