The Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) has prepared a report concerning Poland’s economic cooperation with Arab countries for the currently ongoing EXPO 2020 exhibition in Dubai.
The aim of the monograph is to assess the level of Poland’s cooperation with Arab countries, with particular emphasis on foreign direct investment, trade and cultural conditions, as well as to compare the competitiveness and innovation of the surveyed countries and the experience of Polish enterprises operating on Arab markets.
Development trends in Arab states indicate that this region is gaining and will continue to be gaining importance in the global economy. At the same time, the research carried out by scientists from the Warsaw School of Economics proves the development of Polish-Arab cooperation in the last decade, expressed in the increase in the overall value of a trade or foreign investment. Despite the cultural differences and geographical distance, the Arabic direction offers great opportunities for Poland’s involvement in economic terms, – highlights Prof. Piotr Wachowiak, rector of the Warsaw School of Economics and Krzysztof Drynda, president of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.
