Warsaw School of Economics to hold a seminar “Challenges for cybersecurity during a pandemic”

The Polish Insurance Association together with the Department of Social Insurance of the Economic and Social College of the Warsaw School of Economics is inviting participants to a scientific seminar: “Challenges for cybersecurity during a pandemic”. 

The event will take place on May 20, 2021 from 10.00 a.m. to 3pm and will be broadcast through MsTeams.

The seminar participants led by Dr Marcin Kawiński will discuss the following topics:

  • “The state of cybersecurity in Poland based on a study carried out by KPMG” – Michał Kurek, Head of Cyber ​​Security in KPMG CEE region;
  • “The illusion of security or the most common mistakes in the company at the managerial level” – Cezar Cichocki, Head of the Competence Center, Tenable Guardian;
  • “How ransomware gets to companies” – Michał Sajdak, Head of Research and Development Department in Securitum, Software & infrastructure security expert;
  • “The popularity of cybersecurity and how to talk about it wisely without scaring” – Łukasz Piechowiak, Editor-in-chief of Fintek.pl;
  • “Is cryptography a vaccine against the diseases of the modern Internet?” – Dr Eng. Paweł Topa, professor at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków.
