Graduates of the Warsaw University of Technology (PW) and students of the Military University of Technology (WAT) have developed a mobile application that allows the registration of Ukrainian children in Polish schools. The project was awarded in the Datathon #OtwarteDane competition.
Eight teams of several people competed in the competition organized by the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. Within a day, they had to develop a solution that would respond to current social problems, in particular, help Ukrainian citizens fleeing the war to find their way to Poland.
The School Finder application of PW graduates and students of the Military University of Technology supports refugees from Ukraine in the process of searching for schools for their children. It allows to filter school facilities according to criteria provided by the parent, e.g. language skills or the child’s degree of disability.
