The Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) has signed a cooperation agreement in the implementation of the first edition of the “New Enlightenment” Festival, initiated and organized by the “Alternatives” Ursynów Cultural Center.

The event is to be an attempt to answer the question “Is this the end …?”, posed in the context of the specter of the climate catastrophe, the virus pandemic and the war in Ukraine. The festival will be accompanied by workshops on food and ecology.

The signatories of the agreement include Director of the Ursynów Cultural Center “Alternatives”, Dr Krzysztof Czubaszek and Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Prof. Michał Zasada.

The Festival will consider issues related to the condition of the modern world and its symbolic end in five thematic areas: ecology, authorities, local culture, literature and science.

Festival events will take place in Ursynów, including the campus of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Some of the scientific panels will be led by the academic staff of the University.
