Warsaw University of Technology bought over 70 hectares of land in the Przasnysz Economic Zone in Sieraków with a Przasnysz airport located there from the self-government of Przasnysz.

The Warsaw university wants to create an experimental and implementation area. They are planning to build a laboratory facility to research the light aviation and unmanned aerial vehicles.

The University of Technology acquired the area for 2.5 million PLN, which is about 20% of its market value. According to the head of the Przasnysz Poviat, Krzysztof Bieńkowski, the unpaid 80% is a contribution granted by the poviat to the implementation of the project, which can develop the Przasnysz region.
