Warsaw University of Technology expanding its research infrastructure

05.01.2021

The Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) is implementing a project called “Masovian platform of material and sensory technologies and applications in energy conversion and storage, electromobility, aviation and autonomous systems” worth over PLN 60 million. For this purpose, the WUT will receive a subsidy of nearly PLN 39.8 million from European Funds.

The funds received will be used to expand the research infrastructure and create a unique research and development center.

Two laboratories will be created as part of the project: a laboratory for aviation and autonomous systems (located at the airport in Sieraków near Przasnysz) and a laboratory for materials and sensory technologies (located on the campus of Warsaw University of Technology).

WUT points out that scientific research conducted with the use of laboratory infrastructure created thanks to EU funds will have a positive impact on improving the quality of the natural environment, e.g. by having a positive influence on the development of energy-saving production technologies in many areas of the economy.
