03.11.2021

The main tasks of the Universal Design Center opened at the Warsaw University of Technology include participation in shaping the accessibility policy at the University and beyond, conducting innovative, interdisciplinary research and preparing expert opinions, training, education and building awareness.

The Center operates at the Faculty of Architecture of the Warsaw University of Technology, but other departments of the Warsaw University of Technology may also join the cooperation.

-We want to involve experts from various fields and together take care of shaping the space being accessible and functional for everyone, regardless of disabilities and limitations – said Prof. Eng. Krystyna Solarek, Vice-Dean for Science at the Faculty of Architecture.

The Universal Design Center was established as part of the project “Warsaw University of Technology as the Innovation Ambassador for Accessibility”, co-financed by the European Union.
