Researchers from the Warsaw University of Technology (PW) have been included in an international consortium that will implement the ‘Capacity Building in Robotics & Autonomous Systems in India’ (IRAS-HUB) project under the Erasmus+ programme, under which three centres in robotics and autonomous systems will be established in India.

These centres will be equipped with prototyping equipment and relevant software. Renowned experts from EU countries, including researchers from PW, will help train researchers from 22 departments of Indian universities.

Existing robotics courses for students will be upgraded and new ones will also be created. Professionals working in the established centres will benefit from a standardised training programme. A platform for cooperation between the centres will also be created.

The project also aims to provide training to support the development of innovations, start-ups and aspirations of Indian robotics entrepreneurs.
