Robot Melson is a design of the Scientific Society of Robotics KNR operating at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautics of the Warsaw University of Technology (PW). The robot took first place in the Humanoid Robot category, second place in the Humanoid Sumo category and also was awarded in the Freestyle Showcase category at the International Robotic Competition RoboChallenge 2019, which took place in Romania.

RoboChallenge is the largest robot competition organized in Europe and one of the largest in the world. This year’s competition was attended by 158 teams from 17 countries, including 615 participants and 533 robots participating in 14 competition events.

The competition was carried out as part of the project – “The best of the best! 4.0. “,implemented as part of the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development 2014-2020 and co-financed by the European Social Fund.
