East Asian countries have always fascinated Westerners. Japan became the first in Asia to adopt Western values and seems to be a master in showing the West its modern face. And how does real life in modern Japan look like?

This and other questions will be answered by Prof. Teruji Suzuki – a retired professor of Tokai University and Kagawa University, currently lecturing as a visiting professor at the University of Warsaw; Dr Bartosz Wojciechowski – teacher of Japanese, lecturer at the Jagiellonian University and Edyta Nowicka, a consultant in Japanese business, living in Tokyo and a lecturer at the SWPS University.

The moderator of the meeting will be Prof. Krzysztof Gawlikowski, head of the Department of Asian Studies of the SWPS University.
