Weave-UNISONO competition for bilateral Polish-Czech projects resolved

Thanks to the cooperation between the National Science Centre (NCN) and the Czech Science Foundation (GAČR), scientists from Poland together with researchers from the Czech Republic will carry out joint research. The projects will receive funding of almost PLN 5 million. Four projects will be implemented in the group of science and technology, and one in the area of humanities, social sciences and arts.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Janusz Datta from the Gdansk University of Technology received more than PLN 1 million for the project: Sustainable polyurethanes: “from cradle to grave” using enzymes. 

Almost PLN 920,000. for research on the quantum geometric theory of representation and non-temporal fibrations was awarded to Prof Tomasz Brzeziński of the University of Białystok. 

Prof. Marek Sikorski, for more than PLN 1.4 million. will realise a project entitled Photoredox catalysis with organic anions – a prospective area for flavin derivatives. 

Almost PLN 840 000 was awarded to a project on graded differential geometry and its applications, which on the Polish side will be led by Prof. Janusz Grabowski from the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. 

More than PLN 550 000 was awarded to Prof Stanisław Pijaj from the Jagiellonian University for a project entitled Civil society and the first elections: electoral culture during the revolution of 1848 on the example of the Czech Republic, Galicia and Bukovina.
