” Week of Law State at the Jagiellonian University”

From January 14 to January 25, 2019, the ” Week of Law State at the Jagiellonian University” will take place in Krakow. Organizers of the event will answer the following questions: Is the idea of the rule of law necessary for the functioning of a democratic state? What is the Polish dispute over the rule of law? How is the idea of the rule of law changing in other countries and in the European Union today?

On January 14, participants will listen to the lecture of Prof. Andrzej Grabowski entitled “The theory of a constitutional state of law: a paradigm shift?”. The last of 6 lectures will be a paper of Prof. Fryderyk Zoll “Can civil law fulfil its role without a state of law?’’ which will be delivered on January 25.
