The noun ” Konstytucja” (Constitution) won the internet voting on the competition for the “Word of the Year” organized by the University of Warsaw and was also selected by the jury of linguists.

As much as 69.02 percent Internet users voted for the word „Konstytucja”. The second place was taken by the noun “dane”( data) with 5.71 percent of votes, and the third – independence (4.26 percent).

“The Constitution was not the most popular word of any of last months, but the graph of the key characteristics of this word from January 1 to December 31, 2018 indicates that it was an expression present in the public discourse throughout all that time” – comment the scientists from the University of Warsaw.
