A sixteenth-century edition of Nicolaus Copernicus’ most famous work and other works of the astronomer from the collection of the University Library in Toruń have been made available on the KRONIK@ platform, which collects cultural and scientific resources.
Thanks to Nicolaus Copernicus University, the platform has been enriched with, among others, a 16th-century edition of De revolutionibus orbium coelestium from the Castle Library of Prince Albrecht Hohenzollern in Königsberg. Graphics, posters and other studies on Copernican themes are also available.
The KRONIK@ – National Repository of Objects of Science and Culture portal was made available in 2022 as a place to collect and make available to a wide audience the resources of Polish science and culture. Currently, more than 16 million objects divided into 72 categories are available on the platform, including: books, journals, photographs, graphics and drawings, and museum collections. This is more than 3.5 petabytes of data.
