The works on the last volume of the joint series of a school textbook for teaching history in Poland and Germany have been completed. The textbook series “Europe. Our history” was created with the support of the Joint Polish-German Textbook Commission, in close cooperation between experts and publishers from Poland and Germany. The design works were coordinated by the Historical Research Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Berlin and the Georg-Eckert-Institut – Leibniz-Institut für internationale Schulbuchforschung in Brunswick.

The series of four textbooks presents the history of Europe and world history from multiple perspectives, showing the diverse relationships between European countries and societies. In the next school year, both language versions will be available for use by students and teachers.

The textbook was published by the “WSiP” and “Eduversum” and is addressed to school use as part of history lessons in grades 5-8 of primary school in Poland and Sekundarstufe I in Germany.
