World specialist in solid state chemistry and coordination chemistry to implement a project at Łukasiewicz PORT

A world-renowned specialist in solid-state chemistry and coordination chemistry, Prof. Gerd Meyer will implement the project “Light converting layers” together with scientists from Łukasiewicz – Polish Center for Technology Development. 

The visit of the scientist of the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm will be possible thanks to the Aleksander von Humboldt Polish Honorary Research Scholarship awarded by the Foundation for Polish Science. The aim of the program is to honor the scholars for their scientific achievements and to support long-term cooperation between Polish and German researchers.

Gerd Meyer has worked for the University of Cologne for most of his professional life, where he led the Department of Inorganic Chemistry. He is a member of the Royal Chemical Society and the American and German Chemical Societies. His scientific interests include optical and magnetic properties of solids, and the formation of structures.
