Scientists of the Department of Genetics, Plant Breeding and Seed Production at the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław, were awarded in the Genius Universitatis competition for plants propagated in vitro and sealed in small jars. The jury awarded it in category of best promotion gadget.  

They appreciated the innovation of the gadget, aesthetics, its thematic connection with the university profile, sharing knowledge of botany, biotechnology and genetics and promoting the university.
Plants – sundews, orchids and violets propagated in vitro, enclosed in small, decorative jars, on white and black nutrients ensuring their growth for several months – are created under the supervision of prof. Renata Galek in the laboratories of the Department of Genetics, Plant Breeding and Seed Science at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology.
