Damian Kuna, a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, was awarded in the competition of the Congress of Urban Policy for the best master’s and doctoral dissertations on urban policies. The author created a project of alternative urban development, in which the inhabitants could feel the character of a traditional village.
The author has made an attempt to create an alternative urban space in which the features of a traditional village will be accumulated in a smaller area. Living there could be particularly interesting to people who are more and more aware of the dangers of the climate crisis and inclined to look for solutions leading to a better balance between man and the natural environment.
The Congress of Urban Policy is an event devoted to the creation and implementation of urban policies in Poland. It is organized by the Observatory of Urban Policy, the Institute of Urban and Regional Development and the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy.
