Architecture students of the Wrocław University of Technology with physiotherapists from the University of Physical Education and the Association for Support of the Development of Disabled People create an innovative project to help people with disabilities to remove architectural, technical and communication barriers.
The goal of the Joint Architectural Initiative is to help people with various disabilities and cognitive functions to adapt the apartment to their specific needs. This support can also be used to improve the accessibility of public buildings – centers and social welfare homes.
In order to obtain support, eligible person reports to the Social Welfare Center to carry out architectural works and facilitate their daily functioning. Co-financing for such tasks comes from the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled.
