The IREG General Assembly voted in favor of accepting the WSB Academy in Dąbrowa Górnicza as a full member of the IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence – an international non-profit association associating universities and other organizations interested in university rankings and academic excellence. 

The aim of IREG is to strengthen social awareness and promote issues related to university rankings and academic excellence.

The International Ranking Expert Group (IREG) was established in 2002. In 2009, this informal group was transformed into the IREG Observatory as a non-profit organization. It is registered in Brussels, Belgium. The Secretariat of the Observatory is located in Warsaw, and the vice-president of the organization and one of the members of its Executive Committee is Waldemar Siwiński, founder and president of the Polish Educational Foundation “Perspektywy”.
