The Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IPC PAS) in Warsaw and the DuPont company are organising the 12th “Gold Medal of Chemistry” competition, which aims to identify the authors of the best undergraduate or engineering theses in chemistry.
The event is held under the honorary patronage of the Polish Chemical Society, the Committee on Analytical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Professor Maciej Żylicz, President of the Foundation for Polish Science.
Prof. Żylicz emphasises that chemistry is one of those fields in which Poles have a strong brand.
‘This makes it even more worthwhile to support talented young researchers who are already developing this area of science at such an early stage of their careers. The Foundation for Polish Science supports the best to become even better. I hope that persons awarded the Gold Medal of Chemistry will in the future be laureates of our programmes, for example the START programme for the most talented young scientists” says Prof. Żylicz.
The organisers are waiting for competition entries until 14 October 2022.
