Five employees of the University of Silesia in Katowice have won the scholarship competition of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding young scientists (up to 35 years old).

Ministerial scholarships were awarded to scientists from the faculty of exact and technical sciences: Dr Magdalena Tarnacka and Dr Jakub Spiechowicz in the field of physical sciences and Dr Karolina Jurkiewicz in the field of materials engineering, as well as Dr Michał Kłosiński from the faculty of humanities in the field of literature and Dr Eng. Justyna Knapik-Kowalczuk from the faculty of exact and technical sciences in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.

Scholarships of the Minister of Science and Higher Education are awarded to persons conducting innovative research at a high level and possessing international scientific achievements.
