Wojciech Nazar, a sixth-year medical student at the Medical University of Gdańsk, was honoured with the Dr Wacław Mayzel Medical Laurel, a distinction awarded by Faculty V of Medical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences to students working in science.
The young researcher can boast a considerable scientific output. The topics of his research projects primarily include the analysis of social awareness of air pollution in Poland and the exploration of changes in the behaviour of Poles during the COVID-19 pandemic. He was awarded for his series of papers ‘Analysis of changes in social awareness of air pollution in Poland between 2016 and 2022 including the COVID-19 pandemic period’.
The Dr Wacław Mayzel Medical Laurel has been awarded since 1999 for a highly acclaimed scientific paper prepared prior to obtaining a university degree. Such a paper must have been published in a scientific journal and its execution must not be related to the formal requirements of the degree programme.
