Dr Eng Anna Zielińska-Jurek from the Faculty of Chemistry of the Gdańsk University of Technology, Dr Eng Adrian Bekasiewicz and Dr Eng Michał Sobaszek from the faculty of electronics, telecommunications and computer science received scholarships from the Minister of Science and Higher Education.

Dr Anna Zielińska-Jurek from the Department of Chemical Technology deals with new materials enabling the use of less energy-intensive light sources in photocatalytic reactions and their use in removing xenobiotics from the water and gas phase.

Dr Adrian Bekasiewicz from the Department of Microelectronic Systems deals mainly with techniques of rapid design and optimization of microwave and antenna systems using surrogate methods.

Dr Michał Sobaszka from the Department of Metrology and Optoelectronics deals with the diagnostics and synthesis of diamond structures for sensory and optoelectronic applications.
