The Faculty of Humanities of the Maria Curie Skłodowska University in Lublin in cooperation with the Linguistics Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences and with the support of the Lublin Branch of the Society of Polish Language Lovers organizes the XXI International Onomastic Conference “Onomastic terminology – Names Studies.”

The conference is scheduled for October 4 at the Creative Work House of the Association of Polish Journalists in Kazimierz Dolny on the Vistula.

Onomastics is a branch of linguistics dealing with the study of proper names, including names of places, names, surnames.

The conference will be attended by over 100 scholars representing academic centers from Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, Lithuania, Croatia and Macedonia, as well as from Hungary and Italy.
