The Rector of Zamość Academy (AZ) Dr Paweł Skrzydlewski and the commander of the 2nd Lublin Brigade of Territorial Defence (2LBOT), Col Zbigniew Krzyszczuk, signed a cooperation agreement aimed, among other things, at using the medical facilities and experience of AZ staff to train Territorials in medical rescue.

“We have formalised a very good cooperation that has already lasted several years. I would like to thank you for this time and I am counting on further ambitious joint projects, which will have a real impact on the safety of our region”, emphasised Colonel Zbigniew Krzyszczuk. 

Cooperation between the Zamość university and the Lublin brigade is developing on several levels. AZ students, lecturers and employees perform territorial military service in the 25th Light Infantry Battalion in Zamość. Every few months, the AZ Medical Simulation Centre hosts medical training courses for the rescuers of the 2nd LBOT, during which, using modern equipment, trainers and simulators, they can acquire new skills in first aid and battlefield medicine.
