The Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Informatics and the Faculty of Geography and Geology of the Jagiellonian University (UJ) in Krakow, as part of the Interdepartmental Programme for Planetary Research, are organising the 4th National Martian Seminar, which will take place on 28 October 2022 in Krakow.
The event will consist of 2 parts: a scientific session and a workshop session entitled ‘Aeolian processes in space exploration – perspectives’.
The aim of the seminar is to present the achievements of Polish scientists in the field of Mars exploration, to establish scientific cooperation in the field of Mars exploration between different scientific units and scientists and to develop Mars exploration in Poland.
The topics of the seminar include the whole range of issues related to Mars, such as: estimation of Mars orbital parameters and global properties of the planet; the Martian space environment; exploration of Mars planetary spheres: magnetosphere, ionosphere, atmosphere, lithosphere, hydrosphere and interior of the planet.
